No photoshopping or camera tricks. All images serve as documentation of my attempts to cover, smother and camouflage contested public monuments across the Midwest US. Each monument is photographed and digital files are “healed” with the Adobe Photoshop Spot Healing Tool to remove the monument.

Images are printed at monumental scale and I return to the site to climb the statue and cover up. These images serve as documentation of each performance of covering contested monuments.
